The terms of service for at home chess:
You will respect your opponents and will not harass, hurry, belittle, or insult them in any way. I expect this to remain a congenial server and do not suffer fools. Hate speech, bigotry, and offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
This is a correspondence site, and as such your opponent may take days to move. Please be patient, and do not send them "hurry up" messages.
You will not use foul language or curse words when addressing anyone on this site.
If you use an avatar I expect it to be tasteful and not include any nudity or vulgar depictions. Fine art is ok, but graphic is something better left on other sites.
Your username will not contain any vulgarity in any language. You should not use the names of famous people or religious icons. If you happen to like a certain chess player I will consider that, but please do not use a living one. If a living chess master ever wishes to join this site, and you have their name, it would be uncomfortable for you. Please do not use copyrighted names.
You will not use chess engines (fritz, crafty, etc) to make your moves for you. You can however use books and databases including electronic media. In fact I support the use of databases and books fully and suggest that you use them to help better yourself at the game.
You will not do anything in any way that could hurt this site. I offer this site free to chess players and expect it to be treated with respect at all times.
Do not do anything that:

Note: It is important to remember safety while online. Always use caution when providing any personal information about yourself anywhere online. It's also a good rule-of-thumb to check the Privacy Policies of any unfamiliar or new web sites you visit. When communicating in the forums be mindful that many people will be able to view it and the inclusion of information such as your name, your address or telephone number is never recommended.
